User Guide - Roles and Rights
This guide reviews the most commonly used Roles in Smartwebs and their associated Rights
As a Property Manager or Global Admin, you may need to create new users in various roles. The most frequently-used user roles are listed below.
Board Member
CAN: view architectural projects and violations in read-only mode, review letters, view and run reports
CANNOT: create or delete violations activity or vote on architectural projects
Committee Member
CAN: add notes, change personal vote, view projects, can view voter list, can view project history, can see project detail
CANNOT: add new projects, delete projects, delete documents or edit/delete project detail
Committee Admin
- Has the same rights as a committee member but can also change the final Project Status, moving the item to completion
Administrator/Property Manager
- Has rights of a committee admin, but can also work in the Violations module and can add/edit/delete projects
Global Admin
- Has all the rights of Administrator/Property Manager plus site admin access
(typically this role is reserved for one or two users per management company)
If you find that one of these roles needs its default permissions modified or a custom role needs to be created, please consult with your Global Admin and they will contact us detailing the exact changes needed for the role.
PLEASE NOTE that ALL users under this role type will have the exact same permissions for your entire management company.
