User Guide for Smartwebs Mobile Offline application on android
No Signal Strength? No Problem!
The Smartwebs Offline app keeps many of the best features of the Smartwebs Mobile (Online) app...without the need for a constant data connection in the field.
Download Association Data
Use any wifi or mobile data connection to download your community's compliance history, Arc project data and more, straight to your mobile device.
Perform Compliance Inspections
The clean, easy-to-use interface has fully integrated mapping, navigation and camera features so you can:
- Access the Map and Address List to review your community's compliance history.
- Seamlessly record compliance data, take/upload pictures, make notes and Send/Queue your notices for mailing.
- Turn on navigation mode so the map continuously updates to your location, making inspection drives a breeze.
Upload Association Data
When you're ready, return to a secure data connection to upload your changes to Smartwebs so you can view them on our Office or Mobile websites.
Our system also sends you confirmations of upload status and upload results so you have a record of everything that changed.
Getting started
1. Download the Smartwebs Offline app from the Google Play Store.
2. Log in with your Smartwebs credentials.
3. Before you begin your drive, you must first download your association's data.
Click the blue Download button to the left of the association name.
Confirm your selection by choosing Download Data
Indicators will appear on the screen indicating that the data is downloading.
Please wait until this process finishes before proceeding.
4. After your data downloads, each association will show a timer indicating how long you have to upload any new activity you create during your inspection.
When the text says "Stale in: ________", you are ready to view the association and begin your inspections.
Tap the association name to continue.
Important note
You have only 24 hours to upload your data before it becomes "stale" and cannot be uploaded.
Until you upload, this data only exists on your device and Smartwebs cannot recover it.
After you complete your violation drive
1. Open the menu bar in the top left corner of the app screen and select My Associations.
2. If you made any changes during your drive, you will see the green Upload button become available for that association, as well as the blue Modified ribbon on the community.
Tap the Upload button to continue.
We STRONGLY recommend uploading your data on a stable wifi connection, such as your home or office to prevent data. If the connection is unstable, it may cause data loss during upload.
After you confirm your upload, an indicator appears on screen to show the upload progress.
3. Once the upload completes, you will receive an email notification that the offline data has been submitted and is currently processing.
When your upload is successful, you will receive a SECOND email confirming that your data was uploaded to Smartwebs, as well as a summary of the activity you uploaded.
Congratulations!
You have successfully completed your drive with the Smartwebs Offline app.
Troubleshooting
Are you experiencing white screens, slow loading, freezing or glitches within the Smartwebs Offline app?
Please follow these steps:
1. Leave the Smartwebs Offline app by pressing your Home button
2. Depending on your Android version, click and hold the Smartwebs Offline app icon and either drag to or select App Info.
3. On the Application Info window that appears, tap Storage (if available) and then Clear Cache.
Do not choose "Clear Data/Storage"- this will delete all the violation data and error logs you have created from the device.
4. Restart your device and use the app like normal.
If the app freezes or gets stuck
1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the Smartwebs Offline app.
2. On the Application Info screen, tap Force Stop.
3. Re-open the application like normal.
