User Guide - Editing Violation Policies

This guide will review how to edit and update existing Violation policies of your Association in Smartwebs.

Navigation

To access the violation policies section, go Violations > More > Violation Options > Policies

Step 1

To unlock a stage to allow edits, click the Copy/Update button on the far right hand side of the grid.

Step 2

The yellow highlighted row confirms which row you are editing, and unlocks the following settings:

  • Cure: How long the homeowner has to fix their violation (Shown in # of days)
  • Fine: Set a fine amount for that violation stage
  • Owner/Tenant/Alternate Address: Notification settings for how residents will receive a violation
    • Checking the box under the option listed at the top of the column allows that type of communication
  • Letter Name: Assign a letter that will be generated based on the stage

Step 3

Save your changes by selecting the "save" button where you originally selected "Copy" or "Update"

NOTE: To edit exception policies select the button "Add Exception" after step 1 and then select the category/subcategory you want to edit in.
