Step 3:

Select the Category and then the Subcategory the exception will be for.

  • Users can choose only the category, and all subcategories under it will use that exception policy

Step 4:

Select "Copy" next to the stage you wish to create the exception for

  • If an exception already exists for that stage, it will state "Update" instead of "Copy"

Step 5:

After selecting Copy or Update, the selected row will be highlighted in yellow, and can then be edited

  • Once finished configuring the stage, select "Save" to save and apply the Exception Policy

Confirm

To confirm that the exception has been created, you will be able to see the stage under the category and or subcategory that is utilizing it.

NOTE: If you disable a Global Policy while in the Add Exceptions Menu, that category/subcategory you have disabled it under will not be able to create violations for those stages.

  • This is typically used for Subcategories and Categories that want to repeat lower stages without an escalation to a later one. Or if they want to skip early stages and go right to a later one with a fine.
  • For example: You can disable stage 3, 4, and 5 so that when the violation reaches stage 2 and the cure period ends, it will repeat that stage instead of escalating to the next one.
  • Another Example: If you wish to skip stages 1 and 2, and only start violations at a stage 3, in the exceptions you will disabled the stage 1 and 2, so when that subcategory is picked, the user can only start from a stage 3 and up
