User Guide – Editing Arc Letters
This quick guide will go over how to edit existing letter templates in the ARC Module
If you just want to edit which association or project/build status the letter is linked to, skip to step 5
Step 1:
Go to ARC > More > Letters & Emails to view the letter template part of the site
Step 2:
Select the "Letter" tab, and then search for the template you want to edit
- To enter the editor, select the pencil icon next to the template.
Step 3:
Edit both the Name and Display name for this template
Step 4:
This is where you can begin to edit the letter template contents
- Formatting tools: The top bar of the editor includes text formatting options and a way to preview what you have edited so far by selecting the "Print" icon
- Merge Fields: Merge fields can be inserted into the letter to automatically pull information from the site's database to fill in the letter.
- A good example is the "homeowner_address" merge field, which will automatically pull the homeowner's address into the letter based on who it is sent to.
- NOTE: Some merge fields are for specific modules only, be sure to check which ones you are using to ensure they are compatible
Step 5:
To edit which association or project/build status that the letter is assigned to, select the "Link" tab in the top right of that same edit letter window.
Step 6:
Check off all associations, project statuses, and build statuses that this letter is assigned to.
- Select the Associations
- Select the project Status or Build Status
- Select "Link"
- Select "Save"
