FAQ: Why are my reports displaying data from a different year?

Reports may pull data from an unexpected year if the report's date filters are set incorrectly or defaulted to a different timeframe.

Resolution

Reports utilize configurable date filters based on either a Date Range or an As of Date. Follow the steps below to verify and update your report filters:

  1. Check the Active Date Filter: Review the filter settings at the top of the report to verify whether it is currently set to an As of Date or a specific Date Range.
  2. Adjust Filter Options
    1. Quick Date Ranges: Use quick selections such as This Month, Last Month, or Year to Last Month to rapidly adjust the timeframe.
    2. Custom Date Range: Select a custom start and end date to specify an exact calendar year or custom period.
  3. Configure Filter Visibility: If the date filter options are not visible on your screen, click the Settings (Gear Icon) in the top toolbar to enable or customize the filter controls.
Tip: Always verify your date filters before exporting or printing financial statements to ensure data accuracy for the intended reporting period.
