FAQ: How Do I Mark an Email a Sender Safe?
Instructions for adding an email address to your Safe Senders list on major email providers.
Purpose: Users may experience issues with not receiving bulk communication or other emails sent by Smartwebs.
The most common cause of emails not received is that the sender email address has been suppressed by the email service provider, due to a user flagging an email from the domain as Spam.
To resolve this, mark Smartwebs' default email sender: no-reply@email.smartwebs.com (and your custom domain email address if applicable) as Safe by taking the following steps.
How to Mark a Sender as Safe: Major Email Providers
Gmail (Web & Mobile)
1. Open the email → click the three-dot menu → select “Mark as not spam”.
2. For ongoing delivery, add the sender to Contacts or create a filter that never sends the address to Spam.
Outlook / Microsoft 365 / Hotmail
1. Open the email → click the three-dot menu (or right-click the message) → select “Mark as not junk”.
2. Optionally add the sender to Safe Senders in Settings for future emails.
Apple Mail (iCloud, macOS, iOS)
1. Open the message → tap/click Move to Inbox or select “Not Junk”.
2. Adding the sender to Contacts further improves delivery.
Yahoo Mail
1. Open the email → click the three-dot menu → select “Not Spam”.
2. You can also add the sender to Contacts to prevent future filtering.
Google Workspace / Microsoft Exchange (Business Accounts)
1. Mark the message as Not Spam/Junk.
2. Some organizations may require an IT admin to whitelist the sender at the domain level.
Tip:
Adding the sender to your Contacts or Safe Senders list is the most reliable way to ensure future emails are delivered to your inbox.
