FAQ - How Do I Quickly Locate a Specific Arc Project?
This article will review how to locate projects in the ARC module, and how they appear in each tab.
Search Function
The ARC module has two ways that you can search for a project using a filtering search.
- Basic Search - Searches within the tab you are in
- Advanced Search Tab - Searches all tabs and has more parameters to filter by
Basic Search
In the Staged, Review, Build, Completed, and Declined/Withdrawn tabs, there is a search box that you can use to search for a project in that specific tab.
- The search can be done by Address, Project Name, or Owner Name.
- All Search functions are character specific to ensure you are spelling the contents of your search exactly to match the results
NOTE: It will only show results for projects that exist in that tab, so if you are looking for a project and you do not know which tab it is in, use the Advanced Search tab
Advanced Search Tab
To look for a project and you do not know which tab it is in, or you are looking for a set of projects with specific parameters, you will want to use the Search Tab.
- When you select this tab, by default it will show all projects in the results at the bottom of the page and you can then further filter and search for specific projects.
Filtering options
The advanced search has many fields where you can filter the results beyond the basic Address, Project Name, or Owner Name.
- Association: Allows you to select one or multiple associations to search projects in
- Owner information: You can enter Owner Name, Address, and Email to search for projects that belong to them
- Project Information: Allows searching by Name, Status, and Completion Status
- Committee and Forum: Filters by projects assigned to specific committee members, their voting status, and comments they have made
More Options:
Selecting "More Options" brings up more fields you can use to filter out projects further
- Project Reference Number: If you have a project reference number you can enter that in this field and search
- Created and Updated By: Allows you to search by who created and updated the project
- Created, Updated, and Completed Date: Searches projects within a date range
- Project Document Name: Searches by the name of the Project
- Deleted Projects: Can include or search only deleted projects in the results (if a project is missing, check here first, it can be restored from this tab if needed)
Results
When you are done entering any fields for your search, in the bottom right of the options box, select the blue "Search" button to generate the results.
- Total Items: Shows the number of results that appear within the parameters set in the options above
- If a project does not show in the results, try including deleted projects to see if it was mistakenly removed
