FAQ - Understanding Zego Payment Timeline
Once a payment is submitted, it moves through a few secure stages before it is fully finalized. Here is the step-by-step journey of your payment:
- Payment Initiation (Smartwebs) The process begins when a payment is scheduled or submitted as a one-time payment through the Smartwebs portal.
- Funds Transferred (Zego) Our payment processor, Zego, handles the secure transfer of funds. Once they have sent the funds to the bank, the transaction status will update to "Paid Out." This indicates the money is officially on its way to the financial institution.
- Bank Processing & Settlement After the funds are sent, the bank begins its internal verification. It typically takes 24–48 business hours for the bank to process and settle the payment into the account. Please note that banks do not process payments on weekends or holidays.
- Final Posting (Smartwebs) Once the bank confirms the funds have cleared, the payment is officially "Settled." At this stage, the transaction is finalized and will be reflected as a completed payment in your Smartwebs history.
